Shaping Future Leaders: An Exclusive Conversation with Prof. Hamid Younas Khan

In a rapidly evolving world, education must be more than memorization — it must ignite innovation, leadership, and real-world skills. Few educational leaders understand this better than Prof. Hamid Younas Khan, a visionary whose life has been dedicated to transforming Pakistan’s education landscape.

From humble beginnings as a passionate teacher to becoming the Chairman of Forte Colleges of Excellence, his story is one of perseverance, vision, and an unshakeable commitment to youth empowerment.Youth Insight Journal sat down with Prof. Hamid Younas Khan to learn more about his inspiring journey, his vision for Forte Colleges, and his message for the youth of Pakistan.

Q&A Session

Q1: Sir, tell us about your journey in the education sector. How did it all start?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
My journey began in 2001 when I joined Army Public School as a teacher. Teaching was more than a profession for me; it was a passion. I pursued my Master’s in English from Punjab University Lahore and furthered my qualifications with diplomas from NUML University Islamabad. Over the years, I held different positions, including serving as a Vice Principal and then as Principal at prestigious institutions in Sargodha.

In 2016, I joined the Superior Group of Colleges as Regional Director (PSES) and became Project Director in Punjab in 2021. After over two decades in leadership roles, I decided in 2024 to launch my educational ventures — Pak Academia International Schools and Forte Colleges of Excellence — to truly implement my vision for education.

Q2: What motivated you to establish Forte Colleges of Excellence?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
During my years in the education sector, I noticed a significant gap: students were earning degrees but lacked real-world skills.

I wanted to create a platform where academic excellence meets skill development. In 2024, Forte Colleges was founded to bridge this gap.

Our mission is clear: we aim to produce not just degree holders but innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders, and change-makers who are ready for the global stage.

Q3: How does Forte College stand apart from traditional educational institutions?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
Forte is different because we believe education must be dynamic, practical, and forward-looking.

We integrate fields like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship alongside traditional programs.

Students engage in internships, real-world projects, community service, and skill-based certifications.

In short, our graduates leave not only with degrees but with experiences and skills that set them apart in a competitive world.

Q4: What specific steps does Forte take to develop students’ skills and leadership abilities?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
Skill development is embedded in everything we do.

Every student undergoes specialized training in communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and digital literacy.

We also launched the FAST (Forte Admission Scholarship Test) to reward talent and ensure that deserving students have every opportunity, regardless of their financial backgrounds.

Our Career Development Cells guide students toward internships, entrepreneurship, and global opportunities — ensuring they’re not just employable, but truly future-ready.

Q5: Technology is reshaping every industry today. How important is technology at Forte?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
Technology is at the heart of Forte College.

From offering specialized tracks in AI and Robotics to integrating e-learning modules, we ensure our students are fully equipped for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

We don’t just teach technology — we immerse students in it, ensuring they become not just users but innovators.

Q6: What is your broader vision for the future of Forte Colleges?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
My dream is to see Forte Colleges lead not just in Pakistan but across borders.

We plan to expand our specialized departments, foster global partnerships, and launch international exchange programs.

I envision Forte as a hub where future leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, and thinkers are nurtured — individuals who will drive positive change in Pakistan and around the world.

Q7: Finally, what message would you like to share with the youth of Pakistan?

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan:
My message is simple but powerful:

Don’t just aim for degrees — aim for skills, innovation, and impact.

Stay curious, stay adaptable, and never stop learning.

The future belongs to those who embrace change, take bold steps, and contribute meaningfully to society.

At Forte Colleges, we stand with every young Pakistani who dares to dream big and work hard to make it happen.

Conclusion

Prof. Hamid Younas Khan’s unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and educational reform shines through every word he speaks.

Under his leadership, Forte Colleges of Excellence is setting a bold new direction — one where education is practical, future-driven, and transformative.

As Pakistan stands at the crossroads of change, it is visionary educators like Prof. Khan who light the way forward.
